Our History

Denizhan OBUZ, the founder of our private teaching institution, graduated from Boğaziçi University's Department of Physics Teaching in 1993. Even as a sophomore, he successfully prepared many students for high school and university entrance exams through private tutoring. His students consistently showed great potential and excelled in their exams.

Immediately after his graduation, he then joined the Science and Physics Department at Üsküdar American High School, where he recognized the importance of high-level organizational structure. This experience highlighted the advantages of professionalism in education. It was here that he deepened his understanding of the American educational system through discussions with American colleagues and learned from educators who were experts in their fields.

Denizhan's journey continued at Doğuş High School, where he served as a Physics and Science teacher. He remembers the administration, his colleagues, and the students with deep affection—many of whom would later become the first students of the tutoring house he founded, named SIGMA-Q.

In 1997, leveraging his educational philosophy and the insights gained from his experiences, Denizhan, established SIGMA-Q. In its inaugural year, the students at SIGMA-Q engaged in learning with enthusiasm, grew by questioning, and succeeded in their high school entrance exams through the innovative Q system—a source of immense pride for Denizhan.

Over the years, SIGMA-Q expanded into a highly successful private teaching institution with six branches. Under Denizhan's leadership, it consistently achieved significant educational success across Turkey, placing numerous students in the nation's top high schools and universities by adhering to the principles of Total Quality in Education.

In 2016, Denizhan moved to Fethiye, which he describes as "the best place to live in Turkey." In Fethiye, he opened the Royal Course Center under the Istanbul Royal Educational Institutions, continuing to share his wealth of experience. The institution aims to replicate the success seen in other regions, supporting students in Fethiye to achieve their educational goals.

Denizhan is also the visionary behind the dbtakip (course success tracking) education portal, which implements his "Q step-by-step training model" in a digital environment. This platform allows institutions, education coaches, and students to track their academic progress with the support of artificial intelligence, enabling them to fully realize their potential.
